The Armenian Association of Social Workers, within the framework of the project “Empowering Communities: Comprehensive Social Support and Protection for the Displaced Population,” invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Driver to support the teams of the Social Work Centres in Yerevan, Abovyan, and Vedi.
1. Purpose and Scope
To ensure the safe and timely transportation of service professionals and, when necessary, beneficiaries within the target enlarged community, thereby contributing to the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Transportation of Staff
- Provide transportation for social workers, psychologists, and other professionals according to the approved schedule.
- Ensure timely arrival at home visits and community meeting locations.
- Coordinate with the team coordinator on route planning.
2.2 Transportation of Beneficiaries (if required)
- Provide transportation for beneficiaries to access medical, social, or community services.
- Pay special attention to the safety of elderly persons, children, and persons with disabilities.
- Assist beneficiaries with getting in and out of the vehicle when necessary (without providing medical or nursing assistance).
2.3 Vehicle Safety and Technical Condition
- Ensure the proper technical condition and cleanliness of the personal vehicle.
- Comply with road traffic regulations.
- Ensure the validity of mandatory motor third-party liability insurance (MTPL) and technical inspection.
- Maintain and document fuel usage and route logs as required.
2.4 Safety and Confidentiality
- Maintain the confidentiality of information related to beneficiaries and service activities.
- Demonstrate respectful and impartial behavior towards all beneficiaries.
- Act promptly and responsibly in emergency situations.
2.5 Other Responsibilities
- Participate in safety briefings organized by the service.
- Submit required reports on routes and completed trips.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position.
3. Minimum Qualification Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (Category B).
- At least 3 years of driving experience.
- Own technically sound vehicle.
- Good knowledge of the target community area.
- High sense of responsibility and communication skills.
