Call for the selection of Social Worker of the Professional Team of the Ashtarak Multifunctional Social Care Service.

The Armenian Association of Social Workers (AASW), within the framework of the project “RISE – Armenia: Rehabilitation, Social Inclusion and Empowerment of Displaced and Vulnerable Population,” announces a call for applications for the formation of the professional team of the Ashtarak Multifunctional Social Care Service.

Tender Title: AASW-RISE-002/26 – Lot 3

Position: Social Worker (Ashtarak Multifunctional Social Care Service)

Project Title: “RISE – Armenia: Rehabilitation, Social Inclusion and Empowerment of Displaced and Vulnerable Population.”

Project Objective: To improve the social protection system in Armenia for vulnerable populations, including those displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, through strengthening the capacities of social workers and ensuring access to new social services, including patronage, social care, and socio-rehabilitation services.

Project Duration: November 2024 – November 2027

Reports to: Project Manager

Duty Station within the Project: Ashtarak Consolidated Community

Start Date: 15/03/2026

End Date: 15/05/2026

  1. Scope and Purpose

To provide beneficiaries with comprehensive social support through a case management approach, within both day-care and mobile (outreach/home-based) services, contributing to their social inclusion, capacity strengthening, and improvement of quality of life.

2. Duties and Responsibilities of the Social Worker

2.1  Case Management and Needs Assessment

  • Conduct initial and in-depth assessments of beneficiaries’ social needs and available resources.
  • Analyze social, economic, family, and psychosocial challenges.
  • Develop Individual Social Plans, defining clear objectives, activities, and expected outcomes.
  • Regularly review and update individual plans.
  • Ensure the active participation of beneficiaries in the development and implementation of their Individual Social Plans.

2.2  Provision of Social Counseling

  • Organize and conduct individual counseling sessions.
  • Organize group meetings and support groups.
  • Promote beneficiaries’ social activation.
  • Support beneficiaries’ community engagement.
  • Ensure continuity and accessibility of services.

2.3 Referral and Interagency Cooperation

  • Facilitate referrals of beneficiaries to healthcare, education, employment, and other service providers, accompanying beneficiaries to specific services when necessary.
  • Follow up on referral outcomes.
  • Cooperate with Local Self-Government Bodies, the Territorial Center of Social Services, and other relevant institutions.

2.4 Multidisciplinary Teamwork

  • Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in case discussions.
  • Share professional observations and recommendations.

2.5  Documentation and Reporting

  •  Maintain complete case documentation in accordance with established formats and procedures.
  • Ensure confidentiality of beneficiaries’ personal data.
  • Submit periodic reports to the Service Supervisor.
  • Participate in monitoring and evaluation processes.

2.6 Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in trainings and professional meetings.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

3. Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Higher education in Social Work.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of social work.
  • Experience working with vulnerable groups (including displaced persons, large families, persons with disabilities, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and experience working with online platforms).
