Armenian Association of Social Workers is inviting potential suppliers to participate in Provision of supervision services for Martuni Day-Care Center for Children Open Tender AASW-SCP-001/25 in the frames of "Stronger Civil Society for Stronger Child Protection" project.

Program objective: Ensuring a safe, secure, and fulfilling life for all children in Armenia, especially vulnerable groups, through an effective child protection system that can respond to shocks.

Program partners: World Vision Germany, World Vision Armenia, Child Protection Network, Association of Social Workers of Armenia, Armavir Development Center, and TAHOIS social-educational NGOs

Program duration: November 2024 – November 2027
Working period: July 2024 – August 2027

Work locations within the program: Yerevan city and Martuni city, Gegharkunik region

 

  1. JOB CONTENT AND PURPOSE

The work carried out by the supervisor aims to ensure the implementation of the daycare social service for children established in Martuni within the framework of the Program and the provision of high-quality services to the target group.

Within the scope of the functions performed by the supervisor, they should coordinate professional and administrative tasks, thereby creating necessary prerequisites for the effectiveness of the services to be implemented within the Program, including recruiting the professional team, organizing the team’s work, outlining the main directions of the service, establishing effective cooperation with state, municipal, and non-governmental organizations operating in the community, and supervising ongoing work to ensure that the services provided meet the established standards.

 

  1. GENERAL SCOPE OF JOB

The professional responsibility of the supervisor includes providing the Martuni daycare service for children with the necessary professional support and professional guidance to the team, ensuring that they deliver professional services. This includes, at minimum, the execution of work in the following areas:

2.1. Selection and training of the local professional staff,, and mapping of resources

  • Actively participate in the selection process of local team members
  • Organize and implement regular mapping of services provided by existing community institutions
  • Ensure information exchange with decision-making bodies regarding vulnerable and at-risk children, guaranteeing the accuracy of transferred data and the confidentiality of personal data
  • Conduct regular, on-the-job training for members of the service team
  • Provide the professional team with the necessary forms for work with vulnerable children and their families and support their practical use
  • Ensure precise documentation of professional tasks
  • Conduct capacity-building meetings for the professional team, as needed, including representatives from other community structures
  • Monitor and assess the progress of provided services, achievements, and identify current challenges

2.2. Community system, collaboration, and inclusion

  • Organize and conduct community meetings with stakeholders to ensure that the provided services and decisions made align with the specific needs of vulnerable, at-risk children and their families
  • Work with the local team of specialists to identify children and families at high risk, initiate case discussions about them with the involvement of relevant authorities, ensuring a comprehensive response to identified issues
  • Proactively collaborate with stakeholders, ensure alignment of support resources, with the aim of increasing the impact of the planned intervention

2.3. Accountability and documentation

  • Prepare and provide monthly data and narrative reports on the services provided, in accordance with the given format.
  • Ensure complete documentation of the services provided, including updating the data in the digital databases in the appropriate format.
  • Conduct ongoing progress assessments of professional team members, providing constructive feedback and support for ongoing development.

2.4. Other functions:

  • Participate in team discussions, meetings, and other program activities related to program implementation and service coordination and provision.
  • Maintain all rules for ensuring the safety of beneficiaries, as well as ethical principles.

 

  1. Minimum qualification requirements:
  • Higher education in Social Work, with at least master's degree.
  • At least 10 years of professional work experience in the field of social work.
  • Experience in coordinating social services.
  • Being aware of the current reforms of the social protection system, the legal framework of the sector.
  • Participation in the licensing course for social workers' coaches and supervisors organized by the Association of Social Workers of Armenia and CFECECAS (Center for Training and Professional Development of Social Workers).

Additional requirements:

  • Teaching, supervision and coaching experience will be considered an advantage.
  • Participation in professional conferences and seminars will be considered an advantage.
