The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites qualified professionals to join the teams of its Social Work Hubs as Social Workers.
Social Work Hubs provide psychosocial and socio-economic support to displaced and vulnerable populations, while promoting their social activation, self-reliance, and community inclusion. The Social Worker is responsible for direct work with beneficiaries, case management, as well as facilitating socio-economic activation and continuous positive follow-up.
Duty Station
The position is based in the following communities:
- Armavir (including Armavir and Vagharshapat communities)
- Hrazdan (Hrazdan consolidated community)
- Abovyan (Abovyan consolidated community)
- Masis (Masis consolidated community)
- Goris
- Yerevan

Duration
April 1 – December 30, 2026
Position Objective
To provide comprehensive social support to beneficiaries through a casework approach, promoting their socio-economic activation, capacity development, and sustainable self-reliance.
Scope of Responsibilities
Case Management and Needs Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of beneficiaries’ social, economic, and psychosocial needs
- Develop Individual Social Plans with clear objectives and measurable outcomes
- Ensure active participation of beneficiaries in planning and implementation
- Regularly review and update intervention plans
Socio-Economic Activation and Positive Follow-Up
- Support beneficiaries in identifying and accessing employment, income-generating, and self-employment opportunities
- Facilitate development of beneficiaries’ skills (life skills, employability, etc.)
- Provide continuous follow-up and guidance (case follow-up/coaching) to ensure sustainable outcomes
- Support beneficiaries in goal-setting, maintaining motivation, and tracking progress
- Encourage active participation in programmes and community life
Social Counseling and Support
- Provide individual counseling sessions
- Organize group meetings and peer support groups
- Support beneficiaries in addressing social challenges
- Ensure continuity and accessibility of services
Referral and Interagency Cooperation
- Facilitate referrals to relevant services (healthcare, education, employment, etc.)
- Accompany beneficiaries to services when needed
- Follow up on referral outcomes and effectiveness
- Cooperate with local self-government bodies, territorial social service centers, and other institutions
Teamwork
- Work within a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in case discussions and case conferences
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain complete case documentation in accordance with established formats
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of data
- Prepare periodic reports
- Participate in monitoring and evaluation processes
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Higher education in Social Work
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of social work
- Experience in socio-economic programmes or employment-related work is an asset
- Experience working with vulnerable groups is an asset
- Computer literacy (MS Office and online tools)
- Excellent command of Armenian (knowledge of English is an asset)
