The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites qualified professionals to join the teams of its Social Work Hubs as Drivers (UNHCR S01/26-AASW).

The Armenian Association of Social Workers invites qualified candidates to join the teams of its Social Work Centres as Drivers.

The Centres provide psychosocial and socio-economic support to displaced and vulnerable populations, promoting their social activation, greater independence, and inclusion in community life.

Duty Stations

The positions are available in the following locations:

  • Armavir (including the communities of Armavir and Vagharshapat)
  • Hrazdan (Hrazdan consolidated community)
  • Abovyan (Abovyan consolidated community)
  • Masis (Masis consolidated community)
  • Goris (Goris consolidated community)
  • Yerevan

Duration of Employment

From 1 April to 30 December 2026.

Purpose of the Position

To ensure the safe and timely transportation of the service team’s professionals and, when necessary, beneficiaries within the target consolidated community, thereby contributing to the effective and uninterrupted delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transportation of Professionals

  • Transport social workers, psychologists, and other professionals according to the approved schedule.
  • Ensure timely arrival at the locations of home visits and community meetings.
  • Coordinate with the team coordinator regarding route planning.

2. Transportation of Beneficiaries, When Necessary

  • Transport beneficiaries to healthcare, social, or community services.
  • Pay particular attention to the safety of older persons, children, and persons with disabilities.
  • When necessary, assist beneficiaries in entering and exiting the vehicle, without providing nursing or medical assistance.

3. Vehicle Safety and Technical Condition

  • Ensure that the driver’s own vehicle is technically sound and clean.
  • Comply with road traffic regulations.
  • Maintain valid compulsory motor vehicle insurance and technical inspection documentation.
  • Maintain and document fuel consumption and route records, as required.

4. Safety and Confidentiality

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all information obtained about beneficiaries and the activities of the service.
  • Treat all beneficiaries with respect, impartiality, and neutrality.
  • Act promptly and responsibly in emergency situations.

5. Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in safety briefings organised by the service.
  • Submit the required reports on routes and completed journeys.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Category B driving licence.
  • At least three years of driving experience.
  • Ownership of a technically sound vehicle.
  • Good knowledge of the target community and surrounding area.
  • A high level of responsibility and strong communication skills.
